Ligasano® (White) is a highly effective polyurethane foam which has been used in Germany for nearly over 30 years. It is used to treat a variety of wounds such as:

  • venous, arterial and diabetic ulcers
  • pressure sores
  • burns
  • fistulae and surgical wounds
  • prevention of pressure sores, fungal infections and skin tears, significantly reduces the risk of wound creation as a result of poor circulation.

Ligasano® (White) is used in all stages of wound healing and comes in sterile and unsterile (clinically clean) forms in a variety of sizes ranging from 5cm x 5cm x 1cm squares to 200cm x 100cm x 1cm sheets for burn or bedridden patients.

The added advantage of Ligasano® being a single product used to treat a wide range of wounds across all stages of wound healing as well as being used to prevent wounds makes Ligasano® cost effective for all types of medical and veterinary practices.

Due to the serious nature of wounds Ligasano® is capable of treating and healing, application must always be administered by the appropriately trained medical and veterinary practitioners.

Ligasano® was developed in Germany in the early 1980’s by the Clinic of Dermatology – University of Erlangen – Nürnberg and has remained in its original form since days of development. Since then Ligasano® has been used to treat tens of thousands of patients primarily in Europe.

Ligasano® (White) is fully compliant with the current European Medical Device Directives (MDD) 92/43/EEC and is included in the TGA ARTG (Australia Register of Therapeutic Goods) in both the sterile and unsterile forms.
