What is Ligasano®
Ligasano® is a highly effective polyurethane foam which has been used in Germany for over 30 years. It is used to treat a variety of wounds such as:
- venous, arterial and diabetic ulcers
- pressure sores
- burns
- fistulae and surgical wounds
- preventive aid for pressure sores, fungal infections and skin tears and significantly reduces the risk of wound creation as a result of poor circulation.
Ligasano® White is used in all stages of wound healing and comes in sterile and unsterile (clinically clean) forms in a variety of sizes ranging from 5x5x1cm squares to 200x100x1cm sheets for burn or bedridden patients.
Ligasano® Green is used in the initial first stage of wound healing in conjunction with Ligasano® White for a 24 hour period (up to 48 hours after review) only.
The added advantage of Ligasano® being a single product is that it can be used to treat a wide range of wounds across all stages of wound healing as well as wound prevention. This makes Ligasano® cost effective for all types of medical and veterinary practices.
Ligasano® treatment and wound is specific. Ligasano® must therefore always be administered by the appropriately trained medical and veterinary practitioners.
